Surrounded by a music-making family, Dave was destined to play for others. Teaming up with his brothers and friends, Dave has performed, taught and researched Appalachian music history for decades. In 2012, Dave was presented with the Vandalia Award for his life-long contributions to WVA folklife by the West Virginia Division of Culture and History. Since then, he continues to perform music and teach. And now he builds fiddles. Just imagine the joy, warmth and positive karma he puts into each.
