If you know of Mac, you know of his time with Dr. Humbead’s New Tranquility String Band and Medicine Show and, of course, the Highwoods String Band. The Highwoods pretty much changed my musical life in the ’70’s. I swear, if I had to do it over again, I’d want to be in that band.
